Wriggle and Crawl


Grab your coat and pooter – we’re going out and about on a minibeast hunt!
Sweep your nets in puddles and ponds and lift up logs to see who’s home.
On your belly, legs at the ready, it’s time to wriggle and crawl!

Build a Rocket Jet Pack with The Let's Go Club

Find out how to make your own rocket jet pack with Kirsten and Abe. 

You will need:

  • 2 large plastic bottles (remove tops)
  • 2 disposable drinking cups
  • 1 piece of cardboard
  • Red or orange crepe paper
  • 2 long pieces of ribbon
  • Scissors (grown-up use only)
  • Sticky tape or glue
  • Tin foil or silver paint
  • Some decorations. 

Make a water xylophone with The Let's Go Club

Find out how to make your own colourful water xylophone with Kirsten and Joanna.

You will need:

  • 8 identical glass bottles, jars or glasses
  • 1 wooden or metal spoon
  • Different coloured paint or food colouring
  • Water jug

Mrs Simpson & Mr O'Sullivan have set our class up to use the fantastic eBook resources on Oxford Owl. There is a range of books that you are able to choose from. You can pick different themes and book series and even search for some too. 


Remember that when you log onto Oxford Owl your login information is in your diary and that there are no spaces or capital letters in your username or password.
