Mr M Powell

Term of Office: 2016 -2020

 

My name is Mark Powell and I am a Parent Governor.  I was successfully re-elected as the Chair of the Governing Body for 2016 - 2018 as well as The Vice Chair of the Finance, Personnel & Premises Committee.  I am the Governor for the Artistic & Expressive parts of the curriculum as well as Early Years.  I joined the Board as a Parent Governor for 4 years serving only at Brookfield Primary School with full voting rights.  September 2016 I became a Co-opted Governor. My main aim as a governor is to ensure that school provides a safe, fun and enjoyable learning experience for all children who attend the school.  I have no Business or Pecuniary interest and my attendance for all Governing Board meetings held during 2014-2015 was 99%.  My attendance for all Governing Board meetings held during 2015 - 2016 was 98%.

 

 I work as a Director within the NHS.  I am married, my wife Beth serves as a member of the Brookfield PTFA.  We currently have 2 children who both attend the school.

Term of Office: 2017 - 2021

 

My name is Roger Dale and I have been a Governor at Brookfield Primary School since 2007.  I was re-elected Vice Chair of Governors for 2016 - 2018 as well as Chair of the Finance, Personnel & Premises Committee.  I am the Link Governor, The Governor for Performance Management and Science & Technology   I have full voting rights and during the 2014 - 2015 Academic Year attended 100% of all Governing Board meetings.  My attendance for 2015 - 2016 was also 100%

 

I have a child who attended Brookfield Primary School before going on to Secondary education.  I became a Local Authority Governor predominantly as I wanted to give something back to Brookfield as the school did so much for my child.  I work full time for a major company in Derby.  I am a Fellow at Nottingham Business School and a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement.  I recently re-registered both of these interests on the 13th September 2016. 

 

I am not related to any other Governor or member of staff on the board.

Mrs L Bird

Executive Head - Brookfield & Roe Farm Primary School

 

My name is Lisa Bird and I attend and serve on: The Brookfield Primary School Governing body, the Children, Curriculum & Community Committee as well as the Finance, Personnel & Premises Committee.  I am responsible for Safeguarding and Child Protection responsibilities on the governing body.  As the Head Teacher of Brookfield Primary School I oversee the Curriculum, Progress and Attainment.  I have particular interests in the Artistic & Expressive side of things.  I am very active with the school dance and regularly choreograph pieces which are performed during school plays. I have full voting rights as a Governor. 

 

I have no outside business or pecuniary interest and re-registered my position as the Head Teacher of Brookfield Primary School on the 13th September 2016.  My attendance for all Governing board meetings held during the 2014 - 2015 academic year was 100%.  My attendance for all Governing Board meetings held during 2015 - 2016 was 100%, 2016 - 2017 100% and 2017 - 2018 100%.

Term of Office 2018 - 2022

 

My name is Daniel Walls and I became a member of the Governing Body shortly after I joined Brookfield Primary School in 2014.  I serve on the Governing Body, The Children, Curriculum and Community Committee as well as having responsibilities for Maths.  As well as my Deputy Head Teacher responsibilities I teach Year 6 and was extremely proud to be part of the progress and amazing SAT's results for academic years 2014 - 2015, 2015 - 2016, 2016 - 2017 and 2017 - 2018.

 

I re-registered my interest as Deputy Head Teacher of Brookfield Primary School on the 13th September 2016 and my attendance for the academic year 2014 - 2015 was 99%.  My attendance for 2015 - 2016 was 98%.  My attendance 2016 - 2017 was 96% and 2017 - 2018 100%

 

I have full voting rights as a Governor and I am not related to any other Governor or member of staff on the Board.

Mrs P Daley

Terms of Office: 2015 - 2019

 

My name is Pearl Daley and I serve on the Governing board as well as the Finance, Personnel and Premises Committee.  I have responsibilities for all aspects of the school business. I re-registered my interest as the School Business Manager on the 13th September 2016 and have full voting rights at all Governing body meetings.  I am an active member of a Pentecostal Church but have no pecuniary interest or voting rights as part of my membership.

 

My attendance for all Governing Board meetings for the 2014 - 2015 academic year was 98%.  My attendance for 2015 - 2016 Governing Board meetings was 100%, 2016 - 2017 100% and 2017 - 2018 100%.  I am not related to any other Governor or member of staff on the board.

Dr M Clarke

Co-opted Governor

Term of Office 2018 - 2022

 

My name is Martin Clarke and I have two children at Brookfield.  I became a Parent Governor in 2014 because I felt this was a great way to support both the school and my children's learning.  I serve on the Governing board as well as the Children, Curriculum and Community Committee.  I am currently serving as Chair of the CCC committee with a new vote on Chair expected Autumn 2017.  Having been successfully re-elected as Chair of the CCC Committee in September 2017 I continue providing report to the Board on behalf of the committee. I am the link governor for maths.  I am a Chartered Psychologist and work as a Research Fellow in the field of Forensic Mental Health.  

 

I have no business or pecuniary interest and only govern at Brookfield Primary School. I have full voting rights at all Governing body meetings and my attendance for 2014 - 2015 academic year was 100%.  My attendance for 2015 - 2016 was 100%, 2016 - 2017 100% and 2017 - 2018 100%. I am not related to any other Governor or member of staff on the board.  My terms of office as a Parent governor ended in July 2018 but I was elected as a Co-opted Governor from 18.07.18 for 4 years.

 

 Mrs Lucy Quach

Term of Office: 2016 - 2020

 

My name is Lucy Quach and I am a Parent Governor at Brookfield, serving on the Children, Curriculum and Community Committee as well as being the Safer Recruitment Governor and Link Governor for Physical Development and the Human and Environmental Curriculum.

 

I am married and currently have two children who attend the school.  We have lived within the local community for a long time.

 

In my professional life I work as an HR Business Partner for a local employer, and have experience of supporting the education sector across a variety of matters regarding staff employment and engagement.  I am passionate about children's education particularly during the primary years, and am keen to offer my skills as a contribution to the on going improvement of Brookfield.

 

I am an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and am not related to any other member of the Governing Board.  My attendance at Governors meeting for 2016 - 2017 was 100% as well as 2017 - 2018.

I am married and have 2 children at Brookfield Primary School. Becoming a Governor has given me the opportunity to support the school and bring some of the skills and safeguarding experiences that I have gained from my employment.

 

I am part of the Governing Board and the Children, Curriculum and Community Committee. I am also the named Governor for Safeguarding.  Since becoming a Governing Board member I have attended all meetings.

Mr M Orme

 

 

 

My name is Matthew (Matt) Orme. 

 

I am no longer a serving member of the Board, ending my membership in July 2015.  In my professional life I am an Accountant. I will use these skills to audit Brookfield Primary School Accounts.

Mr J Gledhill

Parent Governor

Term of Office Ended 20.07.18 

 

My name is Jon Gledhill and I have spent over 15 years working in IT across a variety of industries.  I was a Parent Governor for over 8 years at Brookfield Primary School.  I am a parent of 4 children, all who have successfully been through Brookfield Primary School.  With this experience of Brookfield I was able to support the school to achieve its target of becoming an outstanding school ensuring we have a warm welcoming school in our local community.

 

I served on the main Governing Body, I was a member of the Children, Curriculum and Community Committee as well as the Governor for Computing.  I am a Director of a company and re-registered this interest on the 13th September 2016.  My attendance at all Governing board meetings for the Academic year 2014 - 2015 was 92%.  My attendance for 2015 - 2016 was 100%, 2016 - 2017 100% and 2017 - 2018 100%.  I am not related to any other Governor or member of staff on the Board.  I enjoyed my time serving on the Governing Board and look forward to hearing all the wonderful things that will take place at Brookfield in the future.
